Summer Intern - Software Engineering

About the Role:

We’re looking for a smart, driven and curious intern to join our engineering team in New Zealand over the summer. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineering or engineering science student to gain experience in software development - including working on an R&D project - within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. You’ll be supported by experienced engineers and contribute to real-world projects that power the movement of goods across industries. Working alongside great people in a fun and motivating environment, you'll join a diverse, talented, and collaborative team that loves solving tough problems together. The internship will run for 10 weeks, from November 2025 to February 2026.

What We’re Looking For:

• Currently studying towards a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering Science or a related field with strong academic grades and     ideally in your penultimate year of study
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and solving problems.
• Some programming experience through coursework, personal projects, or past internships (TypeScript, Python, Java, or similar).
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Interest in transport, logistics, or building software with real-world applications.

Nice to have (but not required):

• Internship or personal project experience using cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
• Exposure to web development frameworks (e.g. React, Vue, or Angular).
• Familiarity with Git, version control, and collaborative software workflows.
